The new Ford GT Mk IV by Ford Performance and Multimatic is a radically advanced supercar that delivers maximum performance thanks to its unique body, powertrain, and suspension. It represents the ultimate and most extreme track-only Ford GT ever.
The Ford GT Mk IV boasts a unique twin-turbo EcoBoost engine, racing transmission, aero-focused exterior design, and a chassis with a longer wheelbase for better on-track handling, all of which combine to deliver unrestricted performance that exceeds that of any Ford GT to date.
The new Ford GT Mk IV is named after the year the original Mk IV won the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only 67 of the meticulously crafted supercars will be made at Multimatic’s Markham, Ontario, facility.
For this $1.7 million supercar (starting MSRP), a new client application process will launch in the first quarter of 2023, with client selections confirmed. Late spring 2023 will see the start of deliveries.
“The original GT Mk IV held nothing back for max track performance, and the new Ford GT Mk IV brings it in the same way. With an even higher-level of motorsport engineering and performance, plus a completely new carbon fiber body that is functional and striking, the Mk IV is the ultimate sendoff of the third-generation supercar,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director, Ford Performance Motorsports.
The Mk IV is the result of Multimatic’s mission to produce the most extreme final version of the Ford GT. An unparalleled degree of performance has been attained through the use of a special larger displacement engine, an appropriate racing gearbox, a stretched wheelbase, and a truly radical body.
According to Larry Holt, executive vice president of Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations Group, “We are honored to have been a part of the third-generation GT from its inception to this incredible swan song and consider it a significant chapter in Multimatic’s history.”
